The Uganda Musician Association (UMA) seems to be set for a new president in a period of less than a year. This comes after the current president, Ykee Benda announced his resignation a few days back for reasons not disclosed.
Ykee Benda who's also the CEO of Mpaka records took over leadership from Sophie Ggombya roughly six months ago and the latter went into national politics.
During an exclusive interview with Galaxy FM, Ykee Benda confirmed Cindy will be the next President of the association. Cindy, who was a member of the association then succeeded Ykee Benda as the Vice President.
The “Farmer” hitmaker praised Cindy's leadership traits and ability to command the industry as one of the reasons she is fit to succeed him. We're yet to here from the 'king herself' and the date of her takeover remains unconfirmed.
