During her address to the nation hours back, health minister Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng has ordered for the reopening of Cinema halls, gyms, massage parlours and mobile markets. These are to resume functioning come the 14th of this month.
The minister also increased the number of people attending prayers, political rallies, meetings and weddings from 70 to 200. She however stated that "considering the phase of the epidemic Uganda is in, with rising cases and deaths in Urban areas, suspension on bars and discotheques will continue!"
Of course that didn't sit well with many Ugandans but let's just say there's still hope. Casinos and gaming outlets may also resume operations after fulfilling conditions included in the SOPs beginning 14th/11/2020. Operational hours are 6:30 a.m - 7:00 pm.
