On Tuesday this week, we reported the alleged arrest of upcoming singer Fik Gaza and part of the members of his gang in Makindye, Salaama.
On Tuesday afternoon he was released from Kibuye police station and soon after his release, he spoke to the media detailing his arrest.
Gaza who looked visibly intimidated by the arrest revealed his arrest was connected to moving around with criminals something he denies.
The upcoming singer says he doesn't have criminals in his group. He has law abiding citizens who just shore him with love and praises and have no wrong in society.
"I really don't know the right cause of my arrest but it's alleged that I move with criminals something I failed to understand. In may area the LC1 Chairman knows very well we are good citizens and I didn't see him when the arrest was going on." he said.
Gaza also expressed his fears on how the arrest was conducted. He said they would have reached to him during the day and would openly keep his doors open for security personnels instead of ambushing the camp at night.
"They came banging doors and arresting whoever was around at that time. We are law abiding citizens and would have let them enter freely if it was during the day but night arrests are dangerous." he said.
He also believes this is witch hunt perpetrated by his critics and enemies who want to see him off the scene.
However Police came out to refute all his allegations claiming he was never arrested.
Police claimed they only arrested a group of his gang members who are suspected of snatching people's properties in the city.
Other sources reveal the arrest was connected to opium, they suspected Fik Gaza could be harbouring drug dealers.
