    Clergy wants elections postponed.
    • December 23, 2020 • 4 years ago

The clergy of Uganda which includes the numerous  leaders of the churches in Uganda want the elections of 2021 postponed for three more years.

Their defense to this statement is the rising number of corona virus cases and failure of politicians to follow the SOPs that were directed to them by the Ministry of health.

It Is well known that Uganda's elections are to be held next year in January.

These include the presidential elections which are scheduled for 14th January 2021, MP elections, Mayor elections and those at the LC level.

No comment has been made by the government or the electoral Commission of Uganda in reply to this suggestion.
