    in summary
Reign, a popular comedian and singer in Uganda, graduated from St Lawrence University on 22nd February 2024. He shared his joy and gratitude on social media and received congratulations from his fans and fellow celebrities. He is also planning to run for a parliamentary seat in the 2026 elections.

Reign Omusoyisoyi, one half of the famous comedy duo Maulana and Reign, has achieved another feat in his life by graduating from St Lawrence University. The comedian and singer, who is also known by his name Lubega Obedi, was among the hundreds of students who received their degrees at the 14th graduation ceremony of the university on 22nd February 2024.

Reign took to his social media platforms to announce his graduation and share his joy with his fans and followers. He posted several photos of himself in a graduation gown, holding his certificate and posing with his family and friends. He also thanked God, his parents, his mentors and his supporters for making his academic journey possible.

I am so happy and grateful to God for this day. I have finally graduated from St Lawrence University. This is a dream come true for me. I want to thank my parents for their love and support, my mentors for their guidance and inspiration, and my fans for their loyalty and encouragement. You have all played a big role in my success. I dedicate this achievement to you all,

he wrote on his Facebook page.

Reign's graduation has been widely celebrated by his colleagues in the entertainment industry, who have congratulated him and praised him for his hard work and determination. Some of the celebrities who have sent him messages of goodwill include his comedy partner Maulana, singer Spice Diana, radio presenter Malaika Nnyanzi, and comedian Patrick Salvador.

Reign, who started his comedy career in 2017, has risen to fame as one of the most hilarious and versatile comedians in Uganda. He is known for his witty jokes, funny impressions, catchy songs and creative skits. He has performed on various platforms such as Comedy Store, Comedy Files, and Laugh Factory. He has also collaborated with other comedians such as Anne Kansiime, Alex Muhangi, and Madrat and Chiko. He has won several awards, including the Best Comedy Duo Award at the Uganda Entertainment Awards in 2020.

Reign is not only a comedian, but also a singer and songwriter. He has released several hit songs, such as Long Time, Mpambana, Ready, and Nyoko. He has also featured other artists, such as Bettina Namukasa, Swahaba Kasumba, and Mukasa Kadeya. His music is a blend of comedy, dancehall, and afrobeat. He has performed at various concerts and festivals, such as Nyege Nyege, Purple Party, and Roast and Rhyme.

Reign's decision to pursue higher education is a rare move among celebrities in Uganda, who often drop out of school or neglect their studies due to their busy schedules and fame. Reign, however, has shown that it is possible to balance both entertainment and education, and excel in both fields. He has also inspired many young people to value education and follow their dreams.

Reign has not revealed his specific field of study or the degree he obtained from St Lawrence University, but sources close to him have hinted that he has been studying something related to politics and governance. This is in line with his reported ambition to join politics and run for a parliamentary seat in the 2026 general elections. Reign is said to be eyeing the Bugiri Municipality constituency, which is currently represented by Asuman Basalirwa of the Justice Forum party.

Reign has not confirmed or denied his political aspirations, but he has been seen associating with some political figures and parties, such as Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform, Norbert Mao of the Democratic Party, and Kizza Besigye of the Forum for Democratic Change. He has also been vocal about some social and political issues, such as human rights, corruption, and service delivery. He has used his comedy and music to raise awareness and advocate for change in the country.

Reign is expected to make an official announcement about his political plans in the near future, and reveal more details about his academic qualifications and achievements. He has also promised to continue entertaining his fans and producing more comedy and music content. He has thanked his fans for their support and asked them to keep following him on his social media platforms for more updates.
