On 12th/May/2021 the court was meant to have a case hearing for Kawempe North MP elect Muhammad Ssegirinya. The National Unity Platform member is accused of inciting violence and influence a number of people to cause chaos in early March.
However, the case was not attended to as on that very day, Uganda was having the swearing in of President Museveni at the independence grounds in Kololo.
Court has today come out to announce the postponement of the case hearing till June 18th 2021. Ssegirinya is currently under treatment over organ failures but latest information shows that "Mr Updates" as he's commonly known, is getting better.
Let's hope he'll be able to attend the swearing in of the 11th parliament which is also underway.
