Uganda Cranes yesterday night narrowed their chances of qualifying to the next round of the CHAN tournament in Cameroon when they lost to Wesr Africa’s Togo 2-1. The was played in Stade de la Reunification in Doula, Cameroon.
Saidi Kyeyune’s thunderbolt came in after the Cranes trailing 1-0 but unfortunately didn’t last long until Togo got their second goal. Uganda now sits at the bottom of group C with only one point after two games. This means that the boys MUST win their last game against Morocco who drew with Rwanda.
During the post matc confrence, the Cranes’ head coach Jonny Mckinstry also emphasized the importance of winning the last match. ‘’ Both teams scored spectacular goals, unfortunately we lost the match. The final group match is a must win for my boys against Morocco because head to head rules will be applied.
