People in Uganda can never hide things are disturbing their minds especially on social media.
NTV A local TV station in Uganda decided to ditch a famous presenter , one Douglas Lwanga a few weeks ago from "The Beat" show aired between 5 pm and 7pm weekly.
The reason for his surprise dismissal is still unknown but the presenter himself in an official statement came out to say that no one fired him from the TV and that in all the jobs he has been , he has contributed 200% because he loved all of them in short meaning that he cannot and could not have been fired.
But the show has continued and is utilising two people namely Sheila Gashumba who was working with Douglas and Crystal Panda a presenter from "T'-Nation" a popular teens show.
In the recent weeks , a lot of scorn has been poured especially towards Crystal Panda as many people accuse him of being able to entertain very young people only for example interviewing young kids during their birthday parties as described by an angry Douglas fan.
Others say that he cannot handle talking to big musicians the way Douglas used to and this has made many take a decision to watch the evening show of a rival TV "NBS".
Douglas on the other hand has promised to upgrade to greater levels in terms of TV presenting but two main rumours still surround his NTV dismissal and they include;
-charging young artistes to appear on the show in an aim to promote themselves
-demanding for higher pay from the NTV management
