DJ Bush Baby's Health on the Way to Recovery After Successful Operation

Celebrated DJ and radio host, Michael Benjamin Owor also known as DJ Bush Baby is now om the road to recovery after a successful operation.

The DJ was in the theatre last week on Friday at URO Care Hospital in Kampala where the doctors operated him to fix his deteriorating health.

It's not that Bush Baby has had serious health problems but it's because he got an accident of recent that brought him to this bad situation.

The surgery required a whooping UGX.15 million which his friends, workmates and former employers came up with just in time for his surgery that had been scheduled for August but has now taken place in July.

A few days after the surgery, early this week, reports came in from the DJ's household that he was feeling a whole lot better and is on his way to recovery.

When did DJ Bush Baby Fall Sick and Why

The DJ on a perfectly normal day in April of this year slid into a manhole at his home that was loosely covered. He fell in the hole half way damaging his pelvic bone hence causing a fracture.

On rushing him to International Hospital Kampala (IHK) where he received first aid , it was confirmed that he had indeed broken his pelvic bone through various scans conducted on him.

He was later discharged that same day along with some drugs like painkillers, antibiotics which he had to take while having bed rest of about 8 weeks.

During the first weeks, he discovered he was urinating blood, something he first ignored thinking its part of the recovery process from the fresh accident he was involved in.

But after another few days, he realised it was serious and then went to Mulago hospital instead to have his body scanned again because IHK had become very expensive. This is where the doctors told him his urinary tract and bladder had been damaged.

The same doctors advised the DJ to have an operation to fix his body organs and handed him an estimated medical bill of 15 million that he is expected to part with for the operation.

In the meantime, they carried out a light operation on him where they connected a tube to his bladder to help him urinate instead of using the natural way.

It is from here that the DJ became overwhelmed and decided to let the public know that he was suffering and needed financial assistance.

Luckily, he had lots of friends in the media industry who managed to collect that money within a few days after seeing a video clip of the horrible condition DJ Bush Baby was currently in and now after a successful operation, he hopes to get back fully on his feet again.
