Well known and popular Wealthy businessman Sudhir Ruparelia has excitedly given out prizes to Kampala Parents School kids who excelled in this year’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).Pupils who completed their primary seven from Kampala Parents School last year were among the best in the country, according to results released Friday by Education and Sports minister, Ms Janet Museveni.
Ruparelia an exotic proprietor of the school, gave the best pupils cash rewards in millions of shillings congratulating them upon the win in away of also appreciating their hard work which he said helped them succeed in the exams.
“You must work hard to succeed in life,” said Sudhir.The school had 197 pupils in First Grade out of the 256 candidates who sat for PLE.
A total of 64,6190 candidates sat for the national exams in Uganda, and, according to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) – there was a general improvement in performance.
Decline in performance was registered in English. Despite more girls sitting for PLE, boys outperformed them.
At Kampala Parents School, over 50 pupils scored aggregate 4 and 5.Some of kids who scored aggregate 4 were Stella Ainomugisha, Shaham Kafumbe, Nyeko Oaya, Calvin Rwakabale, Martin Joel Songa and Tyler Paul Bagiire.
Fifty nine (59) pupils passed in second grade, with most candidates performing well in Social Studies (SST).A number of parents, who visited the school to pick their children’s results expressed joy and satisfaction about the performance.Kampala Parents School has over the years exhibited incredible performance in PLE, with most of the times coming top of most schools in Kampala District.
