“IGNORANCE IS BLISS”…. DOMINIC ONGWEN TO FACE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT AGAIN TODAY….

Accused of seventy crimes against humanity, some of which are murder, enslavement and of course INTENTIONALLY an attack against a civilian population, former Senior brigade commander Dominic Ongwen is to face the International Criminal Court today.

Okay seriously ignorance is bliss but it is one thing to be a fool (for when we know it is inborn as Mother Nature is best suited unuttered) but a completely different crime (offense against the state punished by death) to deal with one. Who exactly the fool here is… I am no judge!!!

Taking us a bit back, Ongwen was born in 1975  which makes him 42 this year… was forcefully conscripted at age 14 after being abducted on his way to school. One of the first traces of tangible evidence is of him being reported to kill a conversation of the UPDF on the 10th of October  2015 which evidence was trashed in July 2016 by the ICC claiming that the genetic finger printing of the body is not on Ongwen’s!!!!!

But of course he hails from a country where justice comes not exactly early to reward the offended but where at the same time it is strongly held that delayed judgment is not suspended judgement. And because of this, the ICC summons Ongwen to court (a recruit at age 14) on the 26th of January 2016 to charge him with the same cases as those done to him (in a bid to seek justice against him)  …notably the first case of its kind at the ICC.

And from then forth he appeared before court four times with his trial beginning 16th December 2016 (and today he makes another appearance before the same court) well now this may not be important as far as the case is concerned but the man is paid a salary and leaves way above his country’s poverty line as those for whom justice is being sought against him struggle to get one meal a day…. ISN’T IGNORANCE BLISS??!! If it isn’t ladies and gentlemen then why are we majoring in the minors even at international Level!!???
