The president of Uganda National Musicians Federation Edirisa Musuza commonly known as Eddy Kenzo has finally broken the silence about the recent allegations made by MC Kats that he refused to work with Fille on a musical project.
On Saturday, April 13, celebrated media personality, talent manager, as well as Events emcee MC Kats, turned Uganda's social media users' heads after sharing videos in which he could be heard expressing his dismay over Eddy Kenzo for not collaborating with his baby mama Fille Mutoni.
In one of the videos he shared on his X handle formerly known as Twitter, MC Kats legally identified as Edwin Katamba disclosed that when he approached the 2015 BET award winner about the collaboration, he was directed to speak to Kenzo’s manager Beta, who supposedly handles such matters.
The decision to redirect MC Kats to Kenzo's manager to handle the matter did not leave him speaking the same language. The self-proclaimed King of the mic thus took to social media to express his disappointment and feeling of being unappreciated.
Since then, journalists have been eagerly waiting for Eddy Kenzo's response about the allegations and this came possible on Sunday, April 14. Kenzo says that Fille has been under UNMF for over a year and that they have been taking good care of her.
The singer is now surprised to see that MC Kats came out and accused them of being selfish and hiding government money away from them. The federation was formed in May last year and people were very quick to join it. Some left it saying they didn’t understand their ideas while others stayed.
Kenzo stressed that the federation doesn’t only help its members when it comes to music. They also look after their personal lives and family. He said Fille joined the federation at its beginning but she had issues with money and health. For her to get back on her feet, they had to step in and pay her bills.
The singer also said Fille has been hospitalized for two months now. It is the federation paying off all the bills and providing everything needed.
“Fille has been with the federation for a whole year and we have been looking after her. We pay off her bills and at the moment she is in the hospital she has been there for two months," he said in a video accessed by the reporter.
