The president of Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Eddy Kenzo has openly revealed that he holds no grudges with MC Kats despite the recent online feud.
It shoud be noted that a few days ago, events emcee as well as Tv presenter MC Kats, real name Edwin Katamba took to his X formerly known as Twitter account to vent his frustration with Eddy Kenzo on allegations of denying Fille Mutoni a music collaboration.
Katamba said that when approached Kenzo about the collaboration, he was referred to Manager Beta, a thing that the former found disrespectful.
The NBS After5 show host also expressed his frustration with Kenzo for allegedly denying financial assistance towards organizing Fille’s concert.
To have a balanced story, reporters looked for Eddy Kenzo to get his comment about the Kats’ allegations.
Kenzo said it is the federation that looks after his baby mama and ex-girlfriend Fille Mutoni in everything including rent and food.
The singer said he didn’t understand why MC Kats came out and accused them of being selfish and hiding government money away from them.
Kenzo’s comments just added salt to the wound as Kats became bitterer. He actually asked Eddy Kenzo to bring back Fille if he thinks the federation is doing a job that he can’t manage.W
hile appearing on NTV the beat on Wednesday, April 24, Eddy Kenzo maintained that he has no issues with Kats but only that Kats’ demand were past his power.
MC Kats is my friend, my brother, he knows. The only problem he has with me is that I refused to attend to his issues directly and I deflected him to Beta (Martin) but what he needed was beyond my power. There was nothing I could do," he said.
He further mentioned that;
I am not in that secretariat, am not even in the loans committee.I can solve Kats’ problem even now as long as it’s not about that. I can only influence to have him assisted and I was trying to do that until I saw him run to the media.
Kenzo re-emphasized the need to be professional and how particular procedures at the federation must be adhered to regardless of someone’s position.
As the president of the music federation, I must clarify that the Sacco has financial managers and personnel dedicated to handling those matters. We are committed to professionalism and adhere to the necessary procedures for accessing funds from Sacco. – Eddy Kenzo
