Every person should receive minimum Ugshs. 252,000 - Erias Lukwago
    • June 21, 2021 • 4 years ago

After prime minister Hon Robbinah Nabbanja came out yesterday and said Ugandans are to recieve money instead of food as relief, different people have come out to state the sum which should be given.

Kampala lord mayor Erias Lukwago is tbe latest legislator to air his views on the matter. While addressing journalists at city hall, Lukwago asked the government to act fast on the money issue, because most Ugandans are hand-to-mouth earners.

"The money idea is not bad. And according to me, each person liable to recieve the money should receive a minimum of Ug shs 252,000 for the 42days. Lukwago's budget is that each day, the benefitiary spends shs. 6000." Said the lord mayor.

Once again, we ask you, what's the equivalent amount each liable person should receive to help them go through the 42 days of total lockdown?
