Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga earlier took a protective measure and banned 3 MPs who recently returned from Dubai and ignorantly refused to go on mandatory self quarantine over the deadly Coronavirus.
These MPs sharmfully happen to be Ssempala Kigozi (Makindye Sabagabo), Robert Kafeero Ssekitoleko (Nakifuma County) and Cissy Namujju (Lwengo District) who reportedly returned from United Arab Emirates, but dodged to go into quarantine as issued by president last week.
Basing on the dreading spread of deadly corona virus, on Tuesday's plenary, Woman MP Jalia Bintu of Masindi raised the concern about MP Sempala being spotted loitering around parliament on Monday despite having returned from Dubai about 2 weeks ago.
On acknowledging this Kadaga commanded the Clerk of Parliament to ensure that the three Mps didn't return to Parliament until proper screening and quarantining as advised by the medical experts.
Fortunately following the order of Kadaga we are proud to inform you that The ministry of Health on wednesday took the samples of Mps who had travelled from Dubai, UAE and have been taken to Uganda Virus Institute for testing for COVID-19.
And as per now all we await are the test results of the three Mps.
