News reaching our desk this morning is that Forum for Democratic Party's Omoro County flag bearer, Owani Dick Denis has been abducted by unidentified men with guns while going for his nomination at the Independent Electoral Commission Uganda.
FDC party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat took to his Twitter and said that Mr. Owani was on his way back to Omoro from a Rupiny radio talk show in Gulu at 8:30pm when this happened. "We highly suspect this to be the handwork of the usual suspect fearing the strength of FDC." He added
Until now, the whereabouts of Mr. Owani are not known and police is yet to come out with a statement. The by-elections are slated to take place on the 26th of this month and if contesting individuals are disappearing at this stage, should we expect a chaotic elction or all is well?
