The late Archbishop Kizito Lwanga has been given a state funeral.
The viewing of his body took place at Kololo airstrip.
In attendance was the president, numerous ministers, Members of Parliament, religious leaders, friends and family.
He was given a gun salute of 11 bullets if one was to count.
Many were shocked by this as only members who have served in army/police are given these kinds of salutes.
However, the first citizen who is the president requested this gun salute because the archbishop put the state first in his work and was a very good friend to the president.
The president in an interview got emotional saying the late was a very good friend of his and is saddened by his death.
The late died of heart related disease where blood clots were found in his heart arteries.
