Fik Gaza is deeply grateful to Bobi Wine for his care and support when he was subjected to jail in Saudi Arabia.

When Musician Fik Gaza was arrested in Saudi Arabia, there was a lot of unrest among netizens who were concerned for his wellbeing in an International prison.

Fik Gaza was attested upon arrival in Saudi Arabia where a group of his female fans were waiting for him. He was received with a lot of love and as a sign of solidarity, Fik Gaza raised the Ugandan flag high and started waving it (just like any proud citizen would.)

This saw him getting attested by the Saudi Arabia officials. Upon his arrest, there was no official statement made about he reason as to why he had  been taken into jail in such a way. News of his attest reached Uganda however and his fans were simply not pleased to hear this about Fik Gaza.

Later on, a video was released by renown blogger Jose da Blogga showing the condition in which Fik Gaza was subjected to in jail. Netizens were so worried and so were fellow musicians who immediately started the hashtag (#freefikgaza) that was demanding for the release of Fik Gaza from prison.

As the hashtag was being widely spread, not only by musicians but by his fans and followers, Bobi Wine came out and issued a statement via his X account, stating that he would not rest until something was done to get Fik Gaza out of prison and back home to his people.

Bobi Wine stated that his team in Uganda as well as the one in Saudi Arabia were doing their best to get Fik Gaza out of jail but they needed some time to research about the facts concerning his arrest(majorly because they had so little information concerning this).

“I've learnt of the detention of this brother and artiste Fik Gaza in Saudi Arabia- something that has happened to so many African and indeed Ugandan artistes in the past. Although details are still scanty, our teams both here and in Saudi Arabia are trying to establish the facts so that we collectively assist him out of this situation." Bobi Wine posted on his X account.

Well, as promised, Fik Gaza is now a free man and he has no one but Bobi Wine to thank for this. Upon his release, Fik Gaza turned to his X account where he thanked Bobi Wine deeply for the concern and love he showed him throughout  the difficult time he faced in Saudi Arabia.
