Go drink alcohol from your homes - Rogers Mulindwa tells Ugandans
    • April 19, 2021 • 4 years ago

During his recent address about the lockdown and activities still under lockdown, president Museveni said bars and entertainment industry will be allowed to resume work after 5.5m Ugandans have been vaccinated.

Quick mathematicians grabbed their calculators, and according to them, I only 200,000 Ugandans are vaccinated every month since vaccination began, 5.5m will be vaccinated in November 2023????. That's when bars will be opened.

Uganda is known to be a drinking nation, so this didn't sit well with them and begged the president to reconsider his statements. Earlier today, the NRM spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa responded to these Ugandans. This is what he had to say,

"I don't know why people think alcohol is only meant to be taken from a bar. If one wants to take alcohol, buy it, go to your home and take it from there!"
