The memory of the late actor and singer, Kato Lubwama, will be honored at Bat Valley Theatre in Kampala.
Recall that on the 7th of June 2024, it marked exactly one year since Kato passed away at Stana Medical Centre due to health complications.
Kato had made a name for himself in the entertainment industry before his untimely demise, and his positive influence will always be remembered.
Fellow artists are preparing to celebrate his legacy with an event called "Kato Lubwama: A Forever Legacy." Taking place on the 14th of June 2024, starting at 2:00 PM, the event will be attended by various industry professionals and Kato's fans.
"Hello dears,Please come join us as we Celebrate the Legacy of my brother this Friday 14th June ku Bat Valley Theatre. We will perform his songs nebisanyusa ebirala bingi. Entrance is free ?," veteran singer Mariam Ndagire announced via her official Facebook page.
The event will revolve around the theme of honoring a legacy of creativity, innovation, and social impact.
Alongside other forms of entertainment, Kato's songs will be performed to pay tribute to his talent.

Kato Lubwama Paul, a multi-talented individual from Uganda, was born on August 16, 1970, and sadly passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 52. Here are some significant details from Lubwama's life:
Early Life and Education:
Born in Kampala, Uganda, Lubwama completed primary education in 1983 at Nabagereka Primary School.
He finished secondary education in 1988 at Old Kampala Secondary School.
The late Lubwama obtained a Special University Entry Examination certificate from Makerere University Kampala between 1991-92.
According to publicly available information, he graduated with a Diploma in Music, Dance and Drama from Makerere University Kampala in 1994.
Career:
A prominent figure in the Ugandan entertainment industry, he directed Royal Theater, Diamonds Ensemble, Image Africa, and worked on CBS FM Kalisoliso program.
He is also Known for his music, including songs like "Tulye, Tetunakuta, Bank Yebyama, Abantu Bazibu, Akanaku, and Dimitinya".
Politics:
It should be recalled that Kato Lubwama served as Rubaga South Member of Parliament from 2016-2021.
He eceived a medal from President Museveni during Heroes Day celebrations in 2017.

Kato Lubwama was survived by his wife Ann Namuwonge and six children.

As said earlier, he passed away due to a heart attack on June 7, 2023 at a medical center in Kampala.
