The release of Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Seggirinya was met with metal bending joy and happiness from his friends and family.
The legislator's release was ordered by the International Criminal wing judge, Justice Susan Okalany a few hours ago.
However, the joy that met Seggirinya's release has been shortlived after his re arrest a few hours after his release.
According to the Police mouthpiece, CP Fred Enanga, the legislator was re arrested on fresh charges of treason and incitement to violence.
He was transferred to the Special Investigations Division in Kireka for further questioning.
"We want to inform the public that Hon Ssegirinya Mohammad has also been rearrested on fresh charges of treason and incitement to violence by the joint security task team of investigators." Enanga said during a press brief.
"He has been transferred to the Special Investigations Division, in Kireka for further statement recording and action."
It should be noted that the legislator had been granted bail of 40Millions cash bond together with his co accused, Hon. Allan Ssewanyana.
Ssewanyana was however also re arrested before enjoying any freedom.
