The English have a saying, “kicks of a dying horse.” And if you follow closely, these are what most losers in the recently concluded elections are giving. Renown Ugandan theatrical actor/singer Kato Lubwama is the recent to release ‘I don’t care statements.’
While in an interview with the news reporters, the outgoing Rubaga south member of parliament boasted of how he’s not saddened by the terrible loss he got in the elections. “I do not have stress because I am still driving my V8 and still living in my mansion in Mutundwe, Kampala. I joined politics as a rich man; do not involve me in poor people’s discussions.”
The unapologetic MP had however confidently promised to win the election with a very big margin that would send his opponents straight to hospital BUT, a video of him cursing and crying foul after elections emerged which left many rolling on the ground.
Lubwama continued to talk about his post elections mood and this is what he said, “Right now, I am celebrating with some of my fans. We are playing some classic music while eating all kinds of meat. I have no advice for those who are stressing because they lost; I have never been there. Tell your fellow journalists that life has just started for me.
Actually, some people still come to my place for medical fees, but I direct them to new Member of Parliament.” That’s Kato Lubwama for you. These statements didn’t sit well with some Ugandans who reminded the MP for being ungrateful.
The same MP in 2016 told Rubaga people to vote him into parliament so he ‘eats’ and his theme this time round was to vote him and he ‘eats’ together with his voters. Like, the trending statement, voters told him, “tolina ky’otugamba” and just like that, the twin was no more.
