The white man's saying of "The dead are not dead" seems to be perfectly fitting the death of former 11th parliament speaker, Jacob Oulanyah. The mystery surrounding Oulanyah's death was too loud that it forced different people to come openly and refute health minister Acheng's report that he died of organ failure but rather he was poisoned.
Mr. Nathan Okori, Oulanyah's father while giving his speech on the burrial day of his son painfully rechoed how his son was poisoned! This not only sent shockwaves among the mourners but also raised questions in the report that had earlier been given by health minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng.
Few days after the burial, police spokesperson Fred Enanga released a list of people who were to be called to make statement about the allegations that Oulanyah had been poisoned. Among the people to be called was Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, ICT minister Chris Baryomunsi, former Tourism minister Kiwanda Ssuubi and the father himself, Muzeeyi Nathan Okori!
Why were these summorned? How could police be shameless to this extent and not let the father mourn his dead son in peace? These and many other public uproars were directed to Enanga and his team over the summorns.
Muzeeyi Nathan Okori however came out and told Enanga that he's not doing any statememnts about the allegations of his son being poisoned. "I first talked about my son being poisoned on the day he was announced dead, that was 20th/03/2022. I repeated it on the day of his burrial but never pointed out anyone specifically. I'm not appearing before police to make any statements because I didn't point out anyone. Maybe those who filed a case are the ones who ought to make the statement. Police hasn't come here to take any statement from me and even when they do, I will not make it." Said Muzeeyi Nathan Okori
