Reports spilling through the gossip corridors indicate that highly talented media personality and actress Immy Candance has resigned from Spark TV, an outlet of Nation Media Group after two years of dedicated hard work and services.
It is reported that the motor-mouthed TV girl has joined Next Media’s Sanyuka TV.
It should be recalled that a few weeks ago, Spark TV, struggling to stay afloat in the competitive television industry made a desperate attempt to boost viewership for its flagship show, the Daily Soup by reshuffling its hosts.
Candance was replaced with a recruit, MOMO19, a decision that was met with differing opinions from Spark TV's viewers.
Since then, Immy Candance, former BTM TV presenter and Radio 4’s Sato Vako host has been only hosting the popular 21 Questions show, which features Ugandan rising and established stars who reveal deep information about themselves.
It is now rumored that the decision to drop Candance as Daily Soup host never left her speaking the same language, hence seeking greener pastures at Sanyuka TV.
Based on reports from credible and reliable sources, Immy secured a spot at the Naguru-based media outlet’s Sanyuka TV, and on a yet-to-be-released date, she will commence hosting the Uncut gossip show. Sources further reveal that Immy will host her show at Spark TV this week, before initiating her duties at Sanyuka TV.
By the time of publishing this article, no official confirmation has been made by the media outlets. Candance is also yet to say a word but we will keep you informed as soon as further details emerge.
Meanwhile, if we are to go with the current allegations, Candance has joined the growing list of journalists that have crossed from Nation media to Next media services.
The others include; Douglas Lwanga, Raymond Mujuni, MC Kats, and Solomon Sserwanjja. Additionally, Rukh-Shana Namuyimbwa, Wisdom Kiyonga, Dean Lubowa Saava, and Sheila Mugisha, who previously worked as a features reporter at NTV, have also joined NBS.
Anita Fabiola, a former Miss Uganda West who hosted Be My Date, was dismissed due to allegations of indecency. Dean Lubowa Sava, a renowned reporter for his investigative Luganda stories, left NTV for NBS Television. Charles Odongtho, once a prominent political commentator at NBS TV, used to host the Fourth Estate show on NTV. Samuel Walugembe, formerly the chief graphics at NTV, is now applying his expertise at NBS. Godfrey Badebye, a former top cameraman at NTV, also made the decision to depart from the station.
