Before the likes of Shebah Karungi, Rema Namakula, File, Spice Diana and other female musicians started trending, the airwaves used to be rocked by two powerful voices, that is Juliana Kanyomozi and Iryn Namubiru. Both have since slowly phased out, only Juliana who has been making a few songs here and there.
However, as we speak now, Iryn Namubiru is set to have a massive comeback having been signed by a new record label. The songbird is known for hit songs like 'Nkweki?, Njagala, Birowozo' among others. She has now been signed by Masters Music label with another Ragga/Dancehall artist Sana Sojah, and the two already have a song together titled 'Kikondolo'.
The two (Irene and Sama) showed up together at Master’s Music offices in Ntinda for an event that was for selected artistes. The event that kicked off at midday was for Master’ Music to unveil the new artistes that will revive their careers under the record label.
Among the artistes unveiled that afternoon was Irene Namubiru herself who showed up as one of the celebrity guest. The others were two young singers who included Kin Bella and King Solomon. The three artistes will then work with Master’s Music for a long time.
