Yesterday, News came out that Capital Chicken had closed down operations over unknown reasons and they had left without explaining to any individual that invested in their chicken farming Packages how they would be given a refund for their investments. Capital Chicken Limited has been known via the media as a contract farming company dealing in broilers with farming packages for individuals who want to accumulate their income.
News via different social media outlets have been reporting that the company had closed down and the CEO was nowhere to be located and even when many tried to contact him via messages and calls, he still did not turn up.
The rumors also claim they ran away with their clients’ investments and are not planning to reimburse them. The company has however come out and denied these allegations saying that they have not disappeared but rather they have been closed down by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
They went on to state that this is not permanent but rather temporary. According to the management, the CMA order came two weeks ago and their accounts were subsequently closed by the FIA. They mentioned that without these accounts, they can not operate hence the reason they had to temporarily shut down.
“Our attention has been drawn to various social media platform messages indicating that we have closed and disappeared with our Farmers Money. We have been forced to temporarily close following a Capital Markets Authority News Release discrediting us about two weeks ago. And the subsequent freeze of our Accounts by the FIA that has made it impossible for us to run normal operations.” Their statement via their social media partly read
The company then called upon its partners to be calm as they try to navigate this situation and the people who invested are actually protected by a contract so they need not worry about the money hey invested.
“All our client contracts are protected, we ask all our farming partners to stay calm as we look forward to resume operations. Like a Phoenix, Capital Chicken shall rise, again. For God And Our Country,” the statement concluded
Upon citing this statement on X, netizens have however disagreed with it, saying it is just a scam and that is the way scammers try to calm everyone who invested their money in their projects. They went on to cite examples of BLQ, saying that this is the same method they used to calm people down then they later disappeared.
