Kasadha John alias John Blaq recently gave his fans a shocking revelation during his interview with Galaxy FM as he narrated his music journey and how tough it was on him initially before he made it to where he is currently.
He narrated that he was always looked down on and considered untalented. We can all agree that his voice is unique and different from all the other vocalists we know. Well guess what! The uniqueness we listen to today as we jam to John Blaq's music was once considered a problem in his career.
The 'Mbimalanga' hit maker once dreamed of being just like The late Mozey Radio and he always wanted to hit waves like him as he sang. You can imagine his disappointment as he was shunned away by multiple producers who saw no talent in him. They told him his voice was strange and it would never get him anywhere.
"I started with an aim of being a top vocalist. My dream was to sing like the late Radio with a beautiful voice. I thought i vould be like him. The producer I worked with advised me to go back to the bush because hethought my voice was terrible. In fact one chased me out of the studio because of my voice." He narrated.
John Blaq narrated that things changed for him when he met Daddy Andre who told him he had a strong weapon, his voice was powerful and it was something he had to be proud about. He told him he had to stop trying to be like someone else and he had to be his unique self.
" Daddy Andre encouraged me saying my voice was great. I wondered how he managed to uplift me when people had put me down. He said I had something so powerful and i had to be proud of it." He narrated.
He said that he is greatful to the producers who shunned him away and put him down because the criticisms have him a fresh start.
"It was all God's plan. If they had not chased me away, i would not have the courage to do all I did. I would not be this big." He said.
He also went ahead to thank Daddy Andre for believing in him and showing him the right path, teaching him to be himself. For that, he said he shall be forever grateful. Big up to Daddy Andre for uplifting someone who did not believe in himself.
