Musician Bobi Wine quit his long term career built in music to pursue politics. He started off as a Member of Parliament but then showed bigger aspirations as he joined the presidential race in a bid to rule Uganda. Ever since his defeat, he seems to have given up on his music, something that has got his fans very sad.
It seems like his fans are not the only ones affected by his decision but fellow musicians also miss their competitor. Singer Jose Chameleone is not shy to show his hatred towards his long term musical enemy anymore. He is not afraid to show the World that he is not friends with Bobi Wine anymore.
He, in an interview narrated how he shed tears when he visited Bobi Wine at Nsambya Hospital in 2018 after he was beaten during Arua’s by-election that nearly caused him to lose his life.
“I went to see him even when we were not on talking terms. I just felt the need because Bobi Wine and I have come a long way,” he said
Chameleone also went ahead to note that Bobi Wine joining politics was a wrong move and he only got himself into something he could not even handle.
"When I saw him on the hospital bed, I felt pity. I knew he had gone into something that he couldn’t handle. Sometimes we bite more than we can chew,” he said.
Let us not forget however that the same Chameleone wanted to take the same route and he contested to be the Mayor of Kampala but he was defeated by Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago. Talk about advancing into ventures you cant handle.
