Journalists in Uganda earlier today walked out of a press conference at the Uganda Media Centre.
This a silent protest on how they are being treated by the police and army officials while in the field.
The press conference held was to launch the army week that usually occurs at the end of the year where the army does good for the community.
Most journalists were disgruntled on how Ali Mivule, Ntv journalists, Daniel Lutaaya, NBS journalist and Ashraf Kasirye of Ghetto TV were treated yesterday.
Many even attempted to show the scars and wounds they have suffered at the hands of the officials meant to protect them.
Things turned sour when a truck of police officers was deployed around because they thought a protest would break out soon.
Many Ugandans are in support of this and are tired of asking and begging for better treatment of journalists.
A trend # journalism is not a crime has been started on social media once more and is trending as we speak.
