During her interview with Spark Tv, Singer Joanitah Namugerwa, commonly known as Jowy landa revealed that dating a short man is one of the mistakes she will never make.
On several occasions, Jowy landa has come out and listed the qualities of her ideal man and she has now added one more. She says she has never found anything interesting in short men.
The saba saba hit maker went ahead to point fellow singer, ZuliTums who she used to crush on when she was younger. According to Jowy land, a man planning to taste her forbidden fruit should at least be of such height.
When asked why she has never flaunted the love of her life in public, the singer was quick to say she never do so. She reasons that she fears getting disappointed. Therefore, any man planning to marry her has to first visit her mother.
After that, he has to part with a hefty amount of Shs 200m as bride price among other things. With that, she is sure that even if she’s heartbroken, she won’t only collect tears.
The slim sized singer also cleared the air about her current brooding beef with former TNS singer Rahmah Pinky. Pinky recently released a single hitting out at her betrayers.
Among those she asserted is Landa but according to the TNS singer, she’s got no problem with Pinky. They apparently used to be friends and in fact still are but not so close like they used to be.
Meanwhile Joey Landa also talked about her tough journey into the music industry. According to her, she suffered with different managers before finding DJ Roja who introduced her to Jeff Kiwa. In fact she said that one of her ex managers even used to beat her.
Furthermore, the singer who is currently living off collaborations with other artists said that it’s a strategy. They want to first gain talkability. And when this is done, she will start releasing singles.
She’s so far worked with the likes of Dr Jose Chameleone, Grenade Official, Vyroota, and the 6 Killaz among others.
Jowy landa got her breakthrough with the 2019 hit song 'Saba Saba'.
In 2022, she aimed for even greater success with the release of 'Nyumilwa', produced by Brian Beats. The song featured on several Ugandan music charts and was a recurring favorite of fans on radio.
Jowy Landa's career has seen her signed to Pallaso's good music label before transitioning to De Texas Management and then Sure Events.
