Disclaimer: Bulls are also called Cows in Uganda
The leading e-commerce platform in Uganda, Jumia has started selling things at crazy prices with the latest being a group of live animals like cows, goats and hens.
The cows on sale by Jumia have been advertised severally this week on all social media platforms and each only goes for as little as 50,000 Ugandan shillings.
While the actual cost of a full cow in Uganda is averaging around 1.2 million shillings, the Jumia offer got many amazed thinking that the company was joking about the item on sale.
Some hilarious Ugandans as usual went on to crack jokes on how the animal was too cheap for them saying they are ready to offer jumia a lot more money in order to get more cows for themselves each at the stated cheap price of 50K.
But that's not the way it works
Jumia Uganda has flash sales that it has been putting up every single week of this November in a campaign it calls "The Jumia Black Friday" where it offers several goods at discounted prices for the buyers.
So the cows which are going to be taken today at midday have been discounted all the way to 50K but its upto 3 lucky buyers to actually find them on the platform at exactly midday today.
However, some people are still not contented and believe that the cows are not real since in the photos advertised, the cow itself looks suprised
How long does this latest Black Friday Jumia Campaign last
Well, it has been active for atleast the past three weeks having commenced on 5th November.
The Jumia Uganda CEO, Ron Kawamara promised us mind blowing deals from top brands like Nokia, Nile Breweries, Coca-Cola, Britannia and others.
It should be remembered that Jumia has been in Uganda for 9 years now having launched in 2013 and is now on the forefront of connecting different suppliers (vendors) to the buyers in the country's economy.
