Katongole Omutongole weighs in on the NUP wave
    • January 27, 2021 • 4 years ago

The next five years arse going to see many people in the entertainment industry take on another test, that’s political leadership. However, while many are celebrating having reached that milestone, there those whose dream “ended in tears????”. One of those is well known radio personality, Katongole Omutongole.

During his appearance on NBS TV’s Uncut SABULA alongside comedian Patrick Salvador and entertainment analyst Eddie Ssendi, the Beat FM presenter expressed his concerns on the recently concluded election, which he was contesting in for a member for parliament seat in one of the counties in Buikwe district but unfortunately lost.

“People think whoever has a name can contest for leadership.  I’ve been a leader since day one, I was a guild president leading 30,000 and currently a programs director at Beat FM so I totally deserve to be in the parliament. Some people got lucky because of the NUP wave and got voted into positions they were not fit for.” Said Katongole.

He further more said that leone island boss, Dr. Jose Chameleone had no right to contest for the mayoral seat. Katongole also used Kays’ coworker Anatalia whom he said was very eligible for the post but lost out due to the NUP wave.

“Look at Chameleone, why would he come for the mayoral position? What qualities does he have? Same thing with your co-worker Anatalia, she lost out to an NUP candidate  yet she has all the qualities of being a counselor.”

What's your take on Katongole's views? Is he saying the truth or he's just "crying crocodile tears?" Let us know in the comment section.
