Long-time media personality, music analyst as well as events manager Edward Ssendikadiwa, popularly known as Eddie Sendi has named a list of twenty (20 ) artists who should kneel while greeting Jose Chameleone. He based his list on the reasoning that Jose chameleone, real name Mayanja Joseph is the greatest singer of his generation.
A few days ago, Chamuka Tv presenter was filmed claiming that Ugandan musicians who do not have five hit song on their catalogue should always go down to their knees while greeting Chameleone. The clip went viral and it has since created differing opinions from the public.
While moderating his weekly Talk and Talk Show on Saturday, May 4, Isaac Katende alias Kasuku asked sendi if he agreed with the presenter's opinion.
With no single minute of hesitation Sendi proposed the presenter’s suggestion and this prompted a session where the co-hosts would mention a singer and asked him if they belong the category of 'kneelers'

About Jose chameleone’s music journey
Chameleone started his career as a DJ at Kampala’s Maganjo Mizuri nightclub way back in 1996.This is according to information available for public use.In 1998, he started performing live in Kenya with the Ogopa Deejays. Later, the Kenyan record label released his debut single, “Bageya,” which included Redsan, another singer from Kenya.
In 1999, while living in Kenya, they founded the East African Bashment Crew alongside Bebe Cool and other Kenyan musicians including Nazizi and Wyre (Necessary Noize).In the early 2000s, Chameleone made his way back to Uganda and founded Leone Island, his music label.
Chameleone has released albums that have sold well in the local market throughout the years, including Mama Mia, Mambo Bado, Jamila, Kipepeo, Bageya, Shida za Dunia, Bayuda, and Njo Karibu.
He put out his debut album in 2000, and as of 2013, he had put out 13 albums. Kipepeo, Shida za dunia, Valu valu, Bayuda, Badilisha, Sweet Banana, and Champion are a few among them.
“Valu valu”, “Jamila”, “Shida za dunia”, Bayuda, “Tatizo”, “Nkwagala nyo”, “Kipepeo”, “Dorotia”, and “Kipepeo” are a few of his popular songs.
