Just in case you are good at following Uganda's music industry, I guess you have ever listened to Jose Chameleone's hit song dubbed "basima ogenze".
In the song, Chameleone expresses his dismay over people who praise fellows after they have passed on.
And it seems singer Yasin Mukasa, best known as Lil Pazo Lunabe listened to Chameleone's lyrics with much attention and he is not behaving like the French bourbon mornachy leaders who learnt nothing and forgot nothing.
For him( Lil Pazo), he had to a lesson to learn. This can be attributed to his most recent televised interview, where he expressed his admiration for Bobi Wine, both as a musician and a politician.
Without any fear or favor, Lunabe heaped huge praises on singer turned politician Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine for his endless efforts in assisting not only individuals within the entertainment industry but also the general public whom he aspires to lead.
Undoubtedly, a large section of Ugandan singers tend to stand miles far way from politics ,yet often find themselves entangled in political discourse. Actually many of them have on several occasions said that there is nothing they want to do with politics. Do you want us to name them here? That will be a discussion for another day!
Lil Pazo says that while not actively involved in politics, he acknowledges his friendships with politically inclined musicians.
The enkudi crooner mentioned that his audience understands his stance, which prevents any significant backlash against him.
Currently, Lil Pazzo is enjoying the success of a trending song, Enkundi. He emphasized that no other artists have contributed to its popularity, and he does not seek out Bobi Wine for promotional purposes.
Instead, Lunabe appreciates Bobi Wine for his accomplishments in music and the better life he has built through his musical career.
Lil Pazzo reasons that financially successful musicians like Bobi Wine play a crucial role in supporting less affluent artists.
"People know that I love Bobi Wine and that he has tried to help people. We musicians are broke, and the one who has money is the one who supports you," he said while speaking to Sanyuka Tv's Anna Talia Ozze on Wednesday morning, June 5.
Meanwhile, Pazo is not the first artist to come out and give Bobi Wine his flowers while he is still alive. Many have done so and perhaps several others that have received his helping hand will come out and let the country know.
