Liverpool are still going strong in all the fronts this season with Jürgen Klopp that is to say they are still in the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and they are the table leaders of the Premier League.
Liverpool are spotting for a new manager to succeed Klopp in the next season but also some players contracts are expiring next season and the end of this season.
Here are the club's agenda for those players.
First of all the club captain Virgil van Dijk whose contract expires in 2025 is the only player that discussed his future after Klopp's announcement.
After their match with Norwich City in the FA Cup, Van Dijk was asked if he will be part of Klopp's exit as he replied
"That's a big question. Well, I don't know."The club will have a big job on their hands. That is well known. To replace the manager and replace not only the manager, the staff is leaving, and there are so many things that will change.
"So the club has a big job on its hands and I am very curious which direction that will go in. But when that will be announced we will see our situation. I can't say much about it."
He added: "Obviously it will be the end of Jurgen Klopp’s era. I am very glad that I am still part of it. That is why I don't like to speak about it. I am still part of it.
"That is my main focus and we will see at the end of the season. Hopefully, we have the success that we all dream of and fight for each day and, by then, there will probably be more clarification for what the club wants for the future and then we will see."
But Liverpool want to keep him for another season although they will need sign a new centre-back in the near future.
Van Dijk will turn thirty three years next season as his minutes could be reduced, though he could still perform a great role as that of the thirty-nine year old Thiago Silva at Chelsea.
The Reds' recruitment team want him to be part of the new era as they bring a new manager as they need his experience to be offered to other players in transition.
The next is Muhammed Salah
He will be free agent in 2025 as Al Hilal opposed to Al lttihad who were interested in the Egyptian. They wanted to bring him to help them in the world Cup campaign during winter although they managed to sign Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante.
Last summer Saudi deal-makers approached Liverpool but walked away when FSG chief Mike Gordon clarified that Salah was not to be sold not even for £150m.
But this summer fresh approaches will be made as Salah keeps his options open for now.
He is focusing Liverpool and considers to stay for another season which cannot be ruled out as Saudi clubs are still and will be interested in him in 2025.
Trent Alexander Arnold
He is now the vice-captain for Liverpool as the Reds have no plans to let go of him as Alexander Arnold will sign a new contract beyond 2025.
Trent has been with the club since childhood since the age of six as he has taken a new role this season, as he plays both in the midfield and defence.
Here the likely exits for Liverpool at the end of the season.
Thiago Alcantara's contract expires at the end of this season as clubs from Saudi Arabia are interested in him.
Al Ettifaq managed by Steven Gerrard hope to reach a pre-contract agreement with Thiago whereas Al Ahli is also interested in the Spaniard. Various MLS clubs also interested in signing Thiago.
Joel Matip is also another target by Saudi Arabia clubs but clubs from Italy and Turkey are also interested in him.
Joe Gomez is also another player likely to be bought although it's difficult to get him from Liverpool.
