National Unity Platform (NUP) has released a list of its representatives on different committees in the 11th parliament and also announced it's choice for leader of opposition.
Having got the highest number of MP (57), the Kamwokya based party automatically became the one to choose the Leader of Opposition. Masaka municipality MP Mathias Mpuuga has been chosen the leader of opposition.
Other notable party members who've been assigned to different committees are Mukono municipality MP Nambooze Betty Bakireke who's the Chairperson, government assurances. Mityana municipality MP Francis Zaake Butebi has been appointed commissioner of parliament.
Njiye county MP John Patrick Nambeshe is the party's Opposition chief whip while Busiro East MP Medard Lubega Sseggona has been appointed chairperson Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and Nakawa East MP Joel Ssenyoyi who doubles as party spokesperson has been appointed chairperson COSASE.
