Meghan Markle says she was cyber bullied

Not being welcomed by the royal family and all its connections, Meghan, has only faced hatred ever since she got with Prince Harry.

On Friday 8th March, the International Women's Day, the duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle, arrived in Texas to discuss ‘breaking barriers and challenging stereotypes’. It was at an event at the festival alongside Brooke Shields and Katie Couric. The event is for the SXSW festival also known as South by South West. It is an annual festival that celebrates the convergence of Technology, film, music, education and culture.

This year it is going to be held from 8th to 16th March. It announced its panel of ‘Visionary’ women and confirmed that the session would focus on the dangers and mental health issues associated with social media users amongst teenage girls.

Megan comes out as a victim and says she received hateful cyber bullying at the time when she was pregnant with her two children Archie and Lilibet. On social media, everyone gets to say all they want so a lot of hateful things were said to Megan during her vulnerable days.

She says, “I keep my distance from it [social media] right now for my well-being but the bulk of the bullying and abuse I was experiencing in social media and online was when I was pregnant with Archie and with Lili, and with a newborn, with each of them.”

“You just think about that and to wrap your head about why people would be so hateful. It's not catty. It's cruel. Why you would do that when you're pregnant or as a mom it's such a tender and sacred time.”

“You could succumb to it or nearly succumb to how painful that is. Or maybe because I was pregnant that the mammalian instinct just kicks in to do everything you can to protect your child and as a result protect yourself too.”

This is her explaining what she went through and what she did to actually go through it with no much mental harm but just be positive for the sake of the children she was carrying.

Seen in the crowd in the front row is her husband, Prince Harry, clapping in support of all she is saying. He's seated next to Markus Anderson, the man that is reffered to as the second most important man in Megan's life since there's a lot to say about why he has that title. He was instrumental in getting Harry and Megan together just so you know.

Megan continued to say, “If you look at what's happening in social media there's so much to be done in keeping people safe.”

Say no to cyber bullying. It starts with you not bullying anyone online.
