    Middle East Consultants Limited and 18 other companies banned from taking workers abroad

    The increasing rate of unemployment in the country has over the years seen many Ugandans leave for greener pastures abroad. This saw the growth of travel companies and at the moment, there more than 100 travel companies in existence.

    However, many of these companies have been getting bad reports from the people they take. Many have come out to decry the inhuman working conditions their exposed to, little or no pay, and many are raped while others lose their lives.

    A while ago, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) came out to ban all entrants coming from Uganda, mainly because of the growing number of covid-19 cases. It should be noted that the middle East is the biggest destination for workers.

    Earlier today, the ministry of labour has come out to suspend and terminate working licences for over 19 travel companies.

    These include Middle East Consultants Limited, located in Muyenga,  Al-Saed Limited Kibuye, Eagles super vision among others.  These are not to carryout any Business of taking workers abroad until further notice.

    Incase you had a friend or relative planning on going abroad using any of these companies, you might want to check on them.
