During her address yesterday, ICT minister Judith Nabakooba warned Ugandans to be more vigilant about observing Covid-19 rules or else they risk going back to another lockdown. This comes in days after the health minister Jane Ruth Aceng had just banned flights to and from India.
Minister Nabakooba ordered district health officers to resume tightening the covid-19 rules and also the security people to emphasize curfew rules. Uganda has been returning to normal in a gradual process but the news of the Indian "fast spreader" variant has caused tensions.
