Kawempe North MP elect Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya has today been granted bail of 3 million shillings cash.
He has been in Kitayala prisons for three weeks now after being arrested on charges of inciting violence.
He was arrested during his peaceful demonstrations that were meant to demand for the release of the people power supporters that have been wrongfully arrested.
Ssegirinya was seen getting emotional during the zoom court session as he couldn't believe he had been granted bail.
He thought he would be among those that have spent days in jail without going through a court trial and have been tortured in the prisons.
His surities were asked for 50m non cash bond.
