On Sunday evening, the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni addressed citizens about the ongoing economic crises in the country.
Delivering his address, the president said that one of the causes of the ongoing rise in prices of commodities in the land is the war in Ukraine and the western sanctions on Russia. In his explanation, this is what has caused shortages in wheat for the bread eaters and in fertilizers, gas and petrol.
As a solution, Museveni asked Ugandans to address the issue in a more realistic manner and while at it, to use more planning ad strategy and not emotions.
Although there are issues with fuel, Museveni claimed that Uganda is self sufficient when it comes to food, "This i ls one of the most important factors f survival" he said! He offered the best solution to high prices which was produce more to deal with shortages.
