Every musician that has joined the music industry has someone that inspired them to join the industry.
For Acidic Vokoz, this person was a family member that was into music and was always singing. As a young lad back in the village, there was a family member that was into music and was actively doing music at that time. Acidic Vocals looked up to his gentleman because at that time, it was a source of pride to be close to a musician.
Acidic Vokoz narrates that having been influenced by this gentleman, he also learnt all the songs his inspiration used to sing and just like any young person grows into a passion, he felt the drive to also take the same route and succeed as a musician.
According to Acidic Vokoz, it was never his plan initially to join music but the more he sung the songs of his particular gentleman, he felt the pull to become just like him or even do better than him and beat him at his craft.
The urge developed more while Acidic was in his secondary school and this is exactly where his music journey begun.
“Back in the village, there was a family member, more like a relative that was actively doing music. I used to listen to his songs but the more I listened to them, I ended up learning them. When I learnt his songs, I ended up singing them. This is when I felt the urge to also become good at music. I remember telling myself that I would one day be as good or even better than him as per Allah's wishes.” Acidic Vokoz narrates to Mr. Henrie during an interview on the Deep Talk Show
While speaking of his musical journey, there are particular things that Acidic Vokoz will never forget and among these is his instant rise to fame. For him, it all started with his music playing on Tik Tok. There is a particular song he had not even released but it's audio track was released by his sister.
He recollects that very many people did a challenge for this song and among the people that participated in this challenge was famous musician Victor Ruz. Acidic Vokoz was so taken aback by this as he was in disbelief considering the fact that Victor Ruz was already on his wave of fame in the music industry.
“I had told my sister not to release this track but I was called and told my song was trending on Tik Tok. Upon checking the app, I saw many challenges with my song and among them was one from Victor Ruz. Remember he was already big in the industry so this was so humbling to me.” Acidic Vokoz.
