NUP leaders demand for lists of vulnerable Ugandans who've recieved money
    • July 14, 2021 • 4 years ago

During the parliamentary sitting today, members of parliament especially the opposition members requested the prime minister Hon Robbinah Nabbanja to avail to them the breakdown of the sending of money to selected vulnerable Ugandans.

The activity which kicked off last week, has been going on until today, which was expected to be the closing day but unconfirmed rumors state that the activity has been put on hold for reasons yet to be disclosed.

Busiro East Constituency member of parliament Hon. Medard Lubega Sseggona has been on the frontline of asking for accountability from the prime minister and her committee. "The activity has been going on and some people recieved the money while others are yet to receive.

With the activity expected to end soon, we request the prime minister to avail data showing names of whoever has recieved the money. This is to show accountability and transparency." Said Hon Sseggona.

The prime minister also responded to Sseggona's request positively by saying the lists will be availed soon. Well, it's time to know who the vulnerable poor in the country are.
