Nigerian singer, Omah Lay famous for his hit song "Infinity" has confirmed his current location hours after news of his arrest went viral.
The singer confirmed that he was under the custody of Uganda Police via his twitter account which disapproves the earlier rumours that he was already back in Nigeria.
Different sources had indicated that the musician was on his way to Nigeria and had even landed in the country after his Ugandan concert organiser arranged his travel out of Uganda.
Apart from Omah Lay, there is also another Nigerian singer arrested in the country and that is a one Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems, a female popular for her song "Damages".
Tems was reported to be hiding from the Police in Uganda after Omah Lay's arrest but it was later revealed that she was also arrested alongside her manager Muyiwa Awomiyi according to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Luke Owoyesigire.
What next for Omah Lay and Tems after the arrest?
The police insists that the arrested people will be charged with breaking the Covid-19 presidential directives in Uganda that have been effect since March this year (2020).
The directives bar any one from organising any event that attracts a crowd of more than 200 people within the boundaries of Uganda.
