While appearing before Makindye grade one magistrate Jude Olumu earlier today, Nigerian artists Temilade Openiyi alias Tems and Stanley Omah alias Omah Lay were remanded to prison until 16th of December 2020.
The two are being charged with having a performance filled with people which is against Uganda's Covid-19 rules and regulations.
Omah Lay has been remanded to Kitalya prison while Tems has been sent to Kigo prison.
The arrest has sparked off mixed reactions from Ugandans and Nigerians who are angrily demanding for the release of the two artists under the hashtags #FreeOmah and #FreeTems.
