Nyendo Mukungwe Member of Parliament, Hon. Mathias Mpuuga, who's also the appointed leader of opposition in the 11th parliament, early this morning set out on a sensitisation journey throughout 10 big markets in Masaka.
Mpuuga's aim was to teach vendors on how to maintain the SOPs while going about with their job. He also donated stuff like sanitizers, masks, temperature guns among others to the vendors.
However, having moved to 8 of the 10 markets, Mpuuga and his team was intercepted by police officers who ordered him to go back to his residence and stop the movement.
They didn't really give much reasons why they interrupted Mpuuga's movement, but rather kept ordering him to vacate the place. By the time of his interception, Mpuuga was heading to Kirimya Market.
