After years of planning his own funeral, Prince Phillip, husband to Queen Elizabeth the second and the Duke of Edinburgh has been laid to rest
The UK today was in a somber mood as bells chimed in memory of late.
Television stations showed old images of him and the queen before he passed on
A minute of silence was held in most public offices as a way to respect the late.
Gun salutes were held at the Towers of London to honor the late who served for almost 22 years.
The funeral service took place at St. George's chapel in Windsor castle.
In attendance was the queen herself who sat alone the whole service due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Their children; Prince Charles, Princess Anna, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward were in attendance.
Duke of Sussex Prince Harry too was in attendance after flying from Los Angeles.
Many were expecting him to speak to his brother Prince William since they have had a strained relationship but they did not talk throughout the funeral.
The late prince died on April 9th at the age of 99.
He was married to the queen for 73 years.
