Events promoter Balaam Barugahara was the promoter behind singer Pallaso’s Love Fest concert, which happened yesterday, Friday, June 9, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, Kampala and Abitex was the promoter behind the Sitya Danger Concert that also happened on the same day at Freedom City.
Balam has however come out and lashed out at promoter Abitex for organizing Alien Skin’s concert on the same date as the Love Fest concert which had booked the date way earlier than Alien Skin’s team.
During an interview with The Kampala Sun Balam said that Abitex went against what they had agreed upon as members of the Uganda National Promoters Association (UNPA) and will, therefore, face the disciplinary committee to pay for his disobedience.
Balam also went ahead and vowed that this would be the end of such an act of misbehavior where shows organized by promoters in UNPA fall on the same date because it goes against all the rules of the Association.

Faded singer turned politician Raga Dee also blamed Abitex for setting a concert on the same day with Balaam. Events Promoter Abitex is however unfazed by all these threats as he said he is convinced that Alien Skin is better than the likes of, Eddy Kenzo, and Bebe Cool.
Abitex explained that Eddy Kenzo and Bebe Cool have never had a big influence in the industry like the rising star Alien Skin who gained fame overnight, leading to his spontaneous concert. He further said it is only Chameleone and Bobi Wine who are better than Alien Skin at pulling crowds.
"I have organized events for more than thirty years but I have never seen Kenzo and Bebe Cool influence the Industry like Alien Skin has done. It's only Chameleone and Bobi Wine who can sway the industry," he stated.
