By the look of things, singer Derrick Ddungu, also known as Rickman Manrick is yet to move on following the breakup with Sheilah Gashumba. 

In May this year 2024, Sheilah Gashumba released a press statement annoucing the end of her relationship with Rickman.

The duo had dated for about three years. Sheilah Gashumba started a romantic relationship with the singer in 2020 after dumping city socialite Ali Marcus, famously known as God's Plan.

In a statement Sheilah posted on her X formerly known as Twitter account, she said that they decided to part ways mutually. 

"While this decision may come as a shock to some of you, we would like to assure you that it was reached with respect and understanding for each other’s paths. Our relationship has been a journey filled with love, laughter, and growth, and we are immensely grateful for the experiences we shared together," part of her statement read.

Sheilah further emphasized being single and how she will henceforth navigate the next chapter of her life on her own, focusing on personal growth, career aspirations, and friendships.

On the other hand, the 'Bango' hit maker remained tight lipped about their abrupt breakup.However, he revealed that he had quit the socialite’s management for his music career.

Following their breakup, the two proceeded to delete all the photographic memories they had together on social media.

Since then, Sheilah has been living her life large. A few  weeks ago, a video leaked online in which she was seen enjoying her good life with her alleged exes Grenade Official and Fik Fameica at a club having fun.

Besides, she’s been frequenting events with fashionista, Abraynz prompting rumors of the two dating. Meanwhile, for Rickman, the singer has done his own share of flirting on social media.

But just like any other man who seems to view a relationship as a jail cell and when they taste ‘freedom’ they decide to roam about.

Taking to his official X handle, Rickman said that attempting to mind is not a good thing but the truth is that the girl is still stuck in his life.

“Okwekaza kibi naye omuwala #yansigalamu,” said the singer.

It’s not clear if he meant his ex, Sheilah or if it’s a line in a song he wants to release. But quickly his social media users took to his statement to throw around sarcastic comments.
