Over the weekend, Ritah Dancehall was arrested and detained at Central Police Station (CPS) by men in uniform. This was after a verbal war with singer Spice Diana which saw her thrown behind bars.
After Ritah came out and criticized Spice Diana’s concert,, calling it all sorts of fake and poorly executed. Spice Diana, through Katuntu and Co. Advocates demanded that Ritah Dancehall pays Sh100 million in “financial compensation” following the terrible social media posts Ritah made against her.
In an intention to sue letter, the advocates said that the posts were “defamatory, offensive and abusive. In the letter,, it said that if she doesn’t pay that money, it will increase the fine by “hundreds of millions” . Dancehall made it clear that she is ready to serve in prison because she doesn’t have the money and she never expected to get the money from anywhere anytime soon.
“I don’t have money. Nothing. So, Roger if you want to take me to prison, I will serve, but at least the world knows the truth,” Dancehall said while on TV.
Sheebah Karungi seems to be not impressed Spice Diana’s management for arresting dancer, Ritah Dancehall, over alleged defamation.
Taking to her Instagram page, Sheebah, who has in the recent passed been silent competition with Spice Diana, posted a shot video in which she and Ritah pull off massive dance moves while performing live on the stage. She did not put a definitive caption or anything close to it but the action of posting the video was enough for her fans to believe she was standing in solidarity with the dancer.
This led to a series of comments falling on the post with a hashtag of freeing Ritah Dancehall, #freeritahdancehall.
With this, many believe that the battle between Sheebah and Spice may escalate once more despite the fact that the pair had reconciled. Sheebaholics believe however that what sheebah has done is right because they can’t take sides just to save friendship.
